The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) has ordered teachers in insecure regions like Kerio Valley to immediately withdraw their services following the brutal murder of a Catholic priest. Speaking at the Amagoro KNUT hall, KNUT Second Vice Chair Aggrey Namisi urged the government to prioritize teachers’ safety before learning resumes. He also criticized TSC’s promotion process, calling it corrupt and unfair to certain regions. The union is demanding urgent government intervention to protect its members.
