Police in Bisil rescued a suspected donkey thief from an angry mob after residents accused him of stealing a donkey from the Lolongoshwa area.
According to area chief Raphael Lampei, residents intercepted the suspect as he allegedly attempted to flee with the stolen animal, sparking outrage among locals frustrated by increasing cases of donkey theft in the region.
Authorities have since cautioned residents against mob justice and urged members of the public to report criminal activities to security agencies as investigations continue.
