A man identified as John Kyalo from Machakos is demanding justice after he was allegedly attacked and his beard set on fire while he was asleep at an entertainment spot in Machakos town.
Kyalo says he had gone to the venue while exhausted and fell asleep, only to be violently attacked by a man he claims he knew, who had previously threatened to burn his beard.
The victim reports that the suspect carried out the threat on Saturday night at around 3 a.m. before fleeing the scene, fearing retaliation from members of the public.
The incident has been reported at Machakos Police Station as investigations continue, while the victim recovers from injuries sustained in the attack.
