WETANG’ULA CHALLENGES NCIC TO DO MORE!

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has challenged the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to regain the trust of Kenyans and play a more active role in promoting national unity throughout the year—not only during election periods.

Speaking at Parliament Buildings during a meeting with the Commission led by Chairperson Bishop Kepha Omae, the Speaker urged NCIC to intensify the fight against hate speech, strengthen partnerships with key institutions, and invest in civic education to promote peaceful coexistence ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The Commission, in response, said it has already developed a roadmap focusing on prevention, public engagement and collaboration with stakeholders to reduce political polarization and ethnic divisions
