KENYA FLOODS CRISIS: DEATH TOLL NEARS 50 AS OVER 2,000 FAMILIES DISPLACED NATIONWIDE

Heavy rains continue to wreak havoc across Kenya, with the death toll from floods rising to nearly 50 people and more than 2,000 families displaced nationwide.

In Homa Bay County, over 300 families in Wang’chieng Ward, Karachuonyo Constituency were forced to flee their homes after rising floodwaters submerged houses and destroyed property. Household items, livestock, and crops were swept away as the waters spread across several villages.
