President William Ruto has officially launched the candidature of Supreme Court Judge Njoki Ndung’u for the position of judge at the International Criminal Court during an event held at State House Nairobi.
The President described the launch as a national endorsement and urged Kenyans to unite behind Justice Njoki’s bid, saying her distinguished career reflects Kenya’s democratic transition and constitutional journey.
Ruto praised Justice Njoki’s service as a State Counsel, nominated MP, constitutional reform advocate and Supreme Court judge, saying her candidacy reinforces Kenya’s commitment to a rules-based international order founded on fairness, impartiality and judicial independence.
