“Hold On, Fuel Prices are Coming Down”, Kindiki Promises kenyans fuel Relief

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has assured Kenyans that the government is committed to lowering fuel prices, urging stakeholders in the transport sector to maintain peace as negotiations continue.

Speaking during a funeral service in Rugongo, where he attended the burial of Mzee Eshbon Thuku Kwenya, the father of Kinangop MP Kwenya Thuku, Kindiki thanked public service vehicle operators for calling off their strike and said the government remains engaged in talks aimed at easing the cost of fuel.

He cited measures already taken, including a reduction in VAT on fuel and recent adjustments in diesel prices, while warning against violence and disruption of transport systems, saying solutions can only be achieved through dialogue.
