Busia county governor Paul Otuoma has assured residents that adequate measures have been put in place to prevent the spread of the deadly Ebola virus into Busia county and other border towns, saying the county government is working closely with national government agencies to strengthen surveillance and screening at all entry points along the Kenya Uganda border.
Governor Otuoma urged residents to observe high standards of personal and environmental hygiene, including regular handwashing, safe food handling practices, and maintaining clean surroundings noting that community vigilance remains critical in preventing the entry and spread of the disease.
