Jubilee Party Deputy Leader Jeremiah Kioni has reaffirmed the party’s support for former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, declaring him the presidential candidate of the united opposition ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Speaking in Ndaragwa, Kioni said Jubilee has shifted from criticizing the government to actively campaigning for Matiang’i while strengthening the party’s grassroots structures across the country.
The party says Matiang’i offers the leadership needed to address key national challenges, including healthcare, education, infrastructure, unemployment and security.
Leaders from Laikipia County have also pledged to expand Jubilee’s grassroots networks and popularize Matiang’i’s presidential bid as political campaigns begin to gather momentum.
