Former Chief Justice David Maraga has sharply criticized the administration of William Ruto, accusing it of presiding over widespread corruption and a “looting spree” that has angered many Kenyans.
Speaking during the Ukatiba Caravan in Kajiado — a nationwide civic education initiative promoting constitutionalism — Maraga called for leaders who respect the rule of law and urged young people to register as voters ahead of the 2027 general election.
He described the upcoming polls as a critical “redemption exercise” and warned that failure to act could leave the country in the hands of a few self-serving politicians.
