A group of Embu Town boda boda operators on Tuesday held protests over the Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua impeachment ruling at the High Court. Led by local politician James Ireri, the protestors termed the ruling as a miscarriage of justice, saying due process was not followed. Ireri said the ruling ignored its own finding of violation of his right which he said was enough ground to invalidate his impeachment. He also faulted the National Assembly over what he termed as a shambolic public participation that ignored genuine public views. He said majority of Kenyans were of the view the President should have also vacated office become they were elected on a joint ticket. He also called on voters across the country to initiate the process of recalling all the Senators who voted to impeach Gachagua.
