Religious Leaders Condemn Divisive Politics, Hate Speech and Use of Goons

Religious leaders have urged politicians to abandon inflammatory and divisive political rhetoric, warning that reckless statements could fuel violence and threaten national unity.

Led by Bishop Josephat Njoroge, the clergy also condemned the alleged use of goons to intimidate political opponents and disrupt public gatherings, saying such actions undermine democracy and peaceful coexistence.

Speaking at Jubilee Christian Church, the religious leaders called on politicians to promote peace, tolerance and mutual respect, while urging Kenyans to reject violence and safeguard national cohesion.
