Women in Shinyalu Constituency, Kakamega County, have staged demonstrations to protest the rising cases of child abductions, defilement and murder involving children under the age of 10.
The protesters accused authorities of failing to adequately protect children and expressed concern that some suspects arrested in connection with the crimes are later released.
They are calling on security agencies to expedite investigations, ensure perpetrators are prosecuted, and deliver justice to affected families.
Local leaders also joined the calls, urging police to act swiftly to end the disturbing trend and restore public confidence in the justice system.
